Kombucha is all the rave… The perfect summer drink or afternoon refresher, but what about taking your kombucha into the night with a sweet sangria?

First of all, what is Kombucha and why is it good for you?
Although Kombucha is hot in Hollywood, this tea dates back to 2,000 years to ancient China. The tea was created to decrease inflammation and improve digestive issues. The drink has a vinegar, sour taste sometimes too tart for people but a fizzy deliciousness that will grow on you.

Kombucha can be made at home. It requires tea, sugar, and active starter culture of bacteria and yeast. The “mother culture” is combined with tea and sits for 10 days. The bacteria will form along the top and after fermentation a new culture is scooped out and ready to be brewed.


  • Brew Dr.’s Superberry Kombucha

  • Bottle of Red Wine

  • Sparkling Water

  • Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice

  • Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice

  • Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

  1. Squeeze or juice oranges, limes, and lemons together.
  2. Add in Superberry Kombucha, sparkling water, and a bottle of red wine. Red wine is your choice, but we went with a deep Cabernet Sauvignon.
