You have to be at the airport in an hour. It’s early, it’s cold, and you won’t settle for another sugary morning latte at the terminal franchise. Here’s a healthy, warming latte you can prepare at home and sip in your cab ride to the airport or, better yet, on the plane! This latte is dairy-free, anti-inflammatory, and highly recommended by the busy ladies at SuperShe.

  • 2 tablespoons vanilla whey protein powder

  • 1 tablespoon almond butter or sunflower butter

  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar or nectar

  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil

  • 1/8th teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 1/8th teaspoon cardamom

  • 1/8th teaspoon ground cloves

  • 1/8th teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

  • 1 pinch of sea salt

  • 1 large pink black pepper

  • 1 cup boiling water

*If you want to save your latte for the airplane, put all the ingredients into your to-go canteen or mug & ask the stewardess for coffee or hot water, mix and stir on the plane!

Add coffee, combine all the ingredients into your Vitamix or blender & blend until frothy. Pour into mug & garnish your froth with cinnamon. Add organic honey or agave for added sweetness.
